Anthony Tullo

What is the most important song to listen to on the EP?

Definitely the song "Rebel". This song is by far the most personal and intimate song about myself on the EP. It was at a point in my life where l felt a strong desire to speak out about my career, my journey, my struggles and my spiritual connection to God.

Why Gasoline, as a first single?

Gasoline I feel is a song that can relate to everyone and anybody andhas that big catchy chorus. Who doesn't love a drink with their significantother under a summer sky with the radio on?

Describe your music in three words?

Modern country rock

Song you wish you were the first to record?

There are far to many that I wish I had been the first to have written or recorded. But today, the first one that comes to mind is Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen.

Best piece of advice you received from fellow Canadian Country artist?

I can't say l've heard a lot of great advice from one Canadian artist that stands out specifically, but my second single, Oil off my old album Switching Tracks, was written by American songwriter Will Robinson, who's written hits for Tanya Tucker and many others. Once the song was produced and on the album, l was sitting in my car during a cold evening one night and l received this call from Nashville. It was Will calling me to say how much he loved my production and vocals on Oil. Before we said goodbye he said "Keep going, you can't stop a star, it will always find its way to the top". l doubt he will remember saying it, but l sure will not forget it..
